Sources and method
Every entry is copied from the consolidated text of REACH. Nothing is written from memory.
Where the data comes from
The entries are those of Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH): restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of certain dangerous substances, mixtures and articles. The text is the consolidated version of 22 June 2026 published by the Publications Office of the European Union (CELEX 02006R1907-20260622).
The designation of the substance (column 1) and the conditions of restriction (column 2) are copied from the table of that text by a program, without rewriting. Amendment markers are removed. Where the official wording contains a pictogram, the page shows the words [pictogram in the official text] in its place.
Entries that share conditions
In a few rows the table gives one set of conditions for several entries, for example entries 12 to 15, entries 28 to 30 and entries 32 to 38. Each of those entries has its own page, and each page prints the full set of conditions of its row.
Entries without a page
Entries 22, 33, 39, 42, 44, 53 and 67 have no text in the consolidated version, so they have no page. Entry numbers with a letter, such as 18a, 46a and 50a, have their own pages.
Appendices
Several entries refer to appendices of Annex XVII, which hold the lists of substances. A page for such an entry names the appendix and its title. The lists themselves are in the consolidated text on EUR-Lex.
Dates in the text
Dates are shown as written in the consolidated text, including dates that come after 5 November 2026. Entries with such dates show the sentences in a section of their own.
Regulation (EU) 2026/1168, which amends entry 78, says that its point 2 applies from 22 June 2028. The entry 78 page quotes that provision from the regulation itself.
What this site does not say
We state what the annex says, with source and date. We do not say whether a substance is safe or hazardous, whether a product complies, or what a supplier should do. A supplier reads the official text in force or asks the competent authority.
